Belated RIP: Harvey Fuqua 7/27/20 - 7/6/10

Harvey Fuqua was a key figure in the development of Motown Records with Berry Gordy, helping to bring Tammi Terrell to the label, producing all of Marvin Gaye's duets with her. He also signed The Spinners, Junior Walker, and Shorty Long to his own labels later and in his later years discovered Sylvester James and two Tons O' Fun (The Weather Girls), signing them to RCA and producing 2 of their biggest hits, "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" and "Disco Heat (Dance!)". He was also responsible for resurrecting Marvin Gaye's career in 1982 by producing his final album, "Midnight Love" which included Marvin's final hit song, "Sexual Healing", as well as produced the music for his legendary performance of "The Star Spangled Banner".
The legendary Harvey Fuqua was 80 years old.
