9/11 As It Happened [Archive Video]

On the morning of September 11th, 2001, I was in bed snoring away.

My wife woke me up to tell me it was time to go to work.

While in the shower, she told me to check our email, as I think

she was expecting something.

I went to Google, whose colors went completely monochrome,

with the news of the World Trade Center being destroyed by two commercial airplanes, 

The Pentagon being almost demolished by another plane, and another plane crashing in Pennsylvania.

I thought it was a joke, as I told my wife, who was still in the shower.

Her response to me, quite simply, was: "bullshit".

I immediately turned on the news, and every channel was replaying the horror

that occured that morning which brought on a plethora of chain events

that would change the scope of the United Stated and the world forever.

As we memorialize the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I wanted to post this video below, as found on Archive.Org's  "September 11 Television Archive".

I post this to show that, just as this video, our lives can change in an instant. This video shows the immediate 20 minutes before the first reports of the attacks, and shows just how non-nonchalantly  we 

live life, and how fast it can change. 

We all should cherish life, instead of succumbing to animalistic instincts of hatred, war, and intolerance.

My prayers to all the families of all the victims and soldiers who have been affected by

the events of September 11th, 2001 and all of the sub-sequential events proceeding that day.
